If you use Chrome, Firefox, or Edge you might not give other web browsers a second look. But if you’re looking for one that places a strong emphasis on security and privacy, Avast Secure browser is worth having a take a look. The Chromium-based browser includes the ability to use a click to reference VPN along with ad blocking and other features.

Its ad blocker allows you to customize the settings and set a strict blocking to block out even the most persistent ads. It also comes with the uBlock Origin plug-in, which offers dynamic filters and third-party lists for better control. Its phishing prevention feature helps you avoid scam sites, while its banking mode shields your credit card and password information from the eyes of a snooper.

Tab grouping is another feature that helps you navigate multiple tabs while organizing them. It also syncs bookmarks, history, and other data across different platforms so that you can continue browsing from where you started. It also blocks ads on websites to drastically improve the speed of loading websites.

Avast’s web browser appears almost the same as Google Chrome. It allows you to import all of your bookmarks, configuration settings and other features that are optional. The only drawback is that it sends usage statistics and crash reports to Avast’s servers, which you can change at secure://settings/importData. It’s a good web browser with plenty of privacy and security features.
